Do computers really have a negative impact on the environment? This question is being asked between many different people. Some are saying yes that computers are killing our environment and some are saying no. "Manufacturing computers is materials intensive; the total fossil fuels used to make one desktop computer weigh over 240 kilograms, some 10 times the weight of the computer itself." This is consider really high for something so small, because that amount of fossil fuel is used to make automobiles. Many people are saying that this amount of fossil fuel is hurting the environment because it is causing climate change and scarcity in water.
But in my opinion I do not think that computers are a negative impact on the environment. Yes I think that we should consider different recycling methods to help the economy. But I do not think that the making of computers has a real big impact on the environment. There are plenty of different factors that can have a negative impact on the environment. I think that people are just trying to control the community on the use of computers.
